Frequently Asked Questions
I hope this will help answer some of your questions!
  1. What is it like to attend a church service?
In a church service, you will meet the gathering of God's people who worship and praise the Lord Jesus Christ. We sing songs, pray together, proclaim the truth about our Lord, and most importantly hear the Word of God. Our services usually run for about 60 - 90 minutes, and the styles vary slightly depending on whether it is a traditional service, family service, or evening service.

  2. Is there a children's program for my kids?
Yes, there is! The Kids Church runs alongside the 10:30 am services at Holy Trinity Doncaster and St John's Blackburn, and the 1:30 pm service at Holy Trinity Doncaster. The kids will be joining the main services at the start, which will then be followed with a Kids Talk. After the Kids Talk, they will join the Kids Church groups (Kinder - Grade 2, Grade 3 - 5) that run alongside the main services. There is also a Creche available for younger children, and a separate space for parents to care for babies and toddlers.

  3. Is there a youth program for my teenage children?
Absolutely! At Holy Trinity Doncaster and St John's Blackburn, we believe that youth ministry is really important. We want everyone who comes to hear about the salvation that Jesus offers through His death on the cross and the resurrection to new life. Our youth programs run on Friday nights during (public) school term and on Sundays alongside the church services.

  4. How can I join a Bible study group?
We have numerous Bible study groups running throughout the week outside of our service times. If you would like to join us, how about filling in the Connect Card so that we can help find a group that best suits your need.

  5. How can I speak to someone about Christianity?
Come and join one of our services!! We are all very excited to chat with you more about our Lord Jesus Christ. You can also speak to the ministers when you visit us. Or you can also fill in a Connect Card.

  6. Where can I park?
At Holy Trinity Doncaster, we have spacious parking spaces, so you are very welcome to park at our church car park. At St John's Blackburn, we also have spacious parking spaces, but in case it is full, you can park at the Blackburn station which is only a few minutes' walking distance.

  7. What do I wear to come to a church?
The principle is that we would like you to come as you are! The traditional service is usually slightly more formal than the family and evening services.
